We are set free by Jesus Christ no longer a slave to sin. Our Country was founded on this belief that we can worship freely and live a life for Christ. Now, so many Americans are enslaved to their own sin and different addictions. Are we truly free anymore? I've heard it said that character is formed through struggle, but when we let the struggle form our character negatively I fear that to many of us become a slave to struggle. Is it possible that we have lost our own personal freedom?

May God Bless this blessed day of Freedom!
Although this story to follow is a bit comical it has a message that I would like you all to see. Don't take the small things for granted and let them become big things that effect negatively your own well being.
European Commission has just announced an agreement
whereby English will be the official language of the European Union
rather than German, which was the other possibility.
As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as 'Euro-English'.
In the first year, 's' will replace the soft 'c'.
Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard 'c'
will be dropped in favour of 'k'. This should klear up konfusion, and
keyboards kan have one less letter.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome 'ph' will be replaced with 'f'. This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.
In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be
expekted to reach the stage where! more komplikated changes are
possible. Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters
which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent 'e' in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.
By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as
replasing 'th' with 'z' and 'w' with 'v'.
During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary 'o' kan be dropd fro vordskontaining 'ou' and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensi bl riten styl. Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.
Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in
ze forst plas.

Lol...Funny. But there is a message in it. Here is Something to think about:
"The purest state of freedom can be found only in the heart of a child of God."
What responsibility does this place on those who are chosen? We must free so many that are bound!...Great post, Maria!
Today is not only a day of freedom in this world but it is one that the children of God should remember our freedoms from this world as well. We are no longer bound to this world's way of living but are free in Him! Love the post it is great! LOL!
Too funny! Kidding aside, though ~ I agree with you ~ some things have almost become habitual, in that we keep feeling sadness more as a habit and not as the way I will choose to feel today ~ we must make the effort to rise above habitual negative states of being. Then (and only then)we will be begin to experience our true freedom.
Hey.....I think I've seen that language thing somewhere before...lol...
ya... may b zez vil be ur secrt way of spekn to ech ozr...haha
How interesting.... Looks like our text messaging generation... just when you think you are getting somewhere with your spelling then WHAM...the other half of the planet is changing on you. Hey...that's great they agreed to an official language! Hmmm... North Americans, you hear that?
